SIRIUS COLLEGE CAREERS EXPO

As you know, we have held the first SIRIUS COLLEGE CAREERS EXPO in 20 years.

The expo was attended by all our campus students of yr10 and above. The format was a mix of EXPO space and career specific seminars presented by Alumni and other peak professionals in their field such as Boeing Engineer's, Lawyers, Federal Police, TV Celebrities, Judges and alike... The EXPO space itself was utilized by SIRIUS COLLEGE departments as well as industry and educational representatives from wide ranging fields as the AFL Umpires, Ambulance Vic, VIC Uni, Victoria Police, TRANSDEV Logistics, National Australia Bank etc.

We would like to thank all staff, Teachers, coordinators and students who volunteered to be chaperones and all the students who just came along utilized the day for their own careers and made once in a lifetime connections.

2018 EXPO is already in the planning and one of the ideas is inviting the parents along so they can attend alongside their children...

Please feel free to forward all your suggestions and feedback to the campus Careers Advisor - Mr Mithat Demir.

Fit2Drive

On Wednesday 16 August our year 11 cohort undertook a VicRoads driving and road safety workshop entitled ‘Fit2Drive’. This interactive and engaging incursion offered our senior students both a way of connecting with local community and government organisations, whilst also challenging them to think about a tremendously important issue within our society today.

Road safety is an issue that Sirius College is dedicated to promoting and encouraging amongst our community, by participating in a variety of engaging and educational programs Sirius College aims to help support our students as they develop and grow into young and responsible drivers on our roads.

Our students learnt a great deal from this session and are hopefully now more aware and better prepared to face the challenges of being a solo driver in the near future.
